Neurolens® offers a groundbreaking solution for those dealing with digital eye strain, headaches, and other discomforts related to eye alignment issues.
Available in Canada, this innovative technology uses micro prism technology to correct vision alignment, providing much-needed relief for those struggling with persistent discomfort.
At Tsawwassen Optometry Clinic in Delta, we are proud to offer Neurolens® as part of our commitment to providing the latest and most effective vision care solutions.
What is Neurolens®?
Many people experience discomfort without realising that their symptoms could be linked to how their eyes are aligned. This includes headaches, neck pain, and digital eye strain.
Neurolens® is designed to address vision problems caused by misalignment of the eyes. It tackles these issues by gently aligning your vision, reducing strain, and offering significant eye discomfort relief.
How Micro Prism Technology Works
For your eyes to work together well, they must be aligned perfectly. When your eyes are misaligned, even slightly, this forces your eyes to work harder to focus, leading to the strain and discomfort that many people experience.
Micro prism technology addresses this issue by subtly adjusting the way light enters your eyes. Tiny prisms are incorporated into Neurolens®, where they work to gently shift the light that reaches your retinas. This brings your eyes into proper alignment and reduces the strain on your eye muscles.
While the technology may be sophisticated, the benefits are straightforward: better eye alignment leads to reduced visual stress, which can alleviate symptoms like headaches, eye strain, and neck pain.
Who Can Benefit from Neurolens®?
These advanced lenses are particularly beneficial for those who experience:
- Digital Eye Strain: If you spend long hours in front of screens, eye strain glasses can help reduce discomfort.
- Chronic Headaches: Many headaches are linked to vision misalignment. Neurolens® addresses this by correcting the underlying issue, which can help reduce the frequency and intensity of headaches.
- Neck and Shoulder Pain: Vision misalignment can lead to poor posture, resulting in neck and shoulder discomfort. By improving alignment, it potentially reduces these symptoms.
- General Eye Discomfort: If you have tried traditional vision correction methods without success, Neurolens® could offer the relief you have been seeking. This is especially true if you have underlying vision conditions like binocular vision dysfunction or convergence insufficiency.
Neurolens®: A Leap Forward in Vision Correction
Here’s what you can expect when you decide to explore this cutting-edge technology.
- Comprehensive Eye Examination: The journey to getting Neurolens® begins with an eye exam. During this exam, one of our optometrists will assess your vision, check for any underlying conditions, and discuss the symptoms you have been experiencing. This helps determine if Neurolens® is the right solution for you.
- Neurolens® Measurement Device (NMD): This advanced piece of equipment measures the degree of misalignment in your eyes. The NMD is non-invasive and quick, providing precise measurements that guide the customisation of your prescription.
- Customised Prescription: Once the measurements are complete, we will use the data to create a customised Neurolens® prescription. This prescription incorporates micro prism technology to correct your specific eye alignment issues.
- Fitting and Adjustment: When your Neurolens® eyeglasses are ready, you will return to the office for a fitting. During this visit, expect the optometrist to ensure that the lenses fit properly and make any necessary adjustments to the frames.
- Adapting to Your New Lenses: As with any new pair of glasses, there may be an adjustment period as you get used to wearing your glasses.
- Follow-Up Care: After you have had time to adjust to your Neurolens® glasses, a follow-up visit may be scheduled to check on your progress.
